Since Deb and I have parted ways, my creative mind has been put on hold. But just recently we started a new tradition: Monday Night Bachelor viewing get togethers!! We kicked off this new tradition last week with the 2 hour season premier. I had forgotten how funny TV was when Deb was around….It’s hard to say the last time I laughed this hard at a commercial:
We definitely plan to continue this tradition every Monday night throughout the season…
Warm winter coats, colorful scarfs, Flannel Sheets, Space Heaters, Mulled Cider Candles, Fuzzy Slippers, Comfort Food,Christmas tree lightings, Starbucks Gingerbread Lattes, Ice Skating, Bonnie’s spiced Pecans, Wrapping Presents, Decorating for the Holidays, Stuffing the stockings, hanging the Qik stockings with Ethernet cables, Secret Santa Parties,Sitting by the Fire Place, Drinking Hot Cocoa, Shopping on Christmas Eve, Giving Gifts, Christmas morning Pancakes……AND Enjoying them all with my favorite people! xoxo

So now that I have waited far too long to follow-up on my Halloween post, I’ll just make it quick.
Adam made a spectacular Mexican and I went for Alice in Wonderland…going with the Disney theme with all the San Diego ladies! Katie made an amazing Snow White!
We had a blast in San Diego for the weekend! It hit me that I actually do miss a little piece of So Cal but mostly friends that I had to leave there!
With Halloween right around the corner, and costume choices up in the air, it was hard to just kick back and enjoy a little Sunday Night Football. So after a few rounds of Margaritas, we set out on a mission to find Adam (in particular) a costume.
Zorro? nah.
A crab? maybe?
hah. No…it finally came down to a Mexican. Yes. A Mexican.
Unfortunately, Halloween Headquarters left us one accessory short: EL SOMBRERO! After, a few more margaritas, thorough harassment of theGuacamole man, and a little white lie (none of our birthdays are for months!)…Adam’s costume was complete!
We topped off the night with a few bottles of Champagne, in some Fabulous Champagne Flutes–compliments of Brooke and Josh–to celebrate!
Thanks to the movie Inglorious Bastards, I brought a little fun to the Qik office this afternoon. We all decided it was about time we did a Team Building exercise to boost the afternoon mood at Qik HQ.
Trying to decide upon a Halloween costume is tough. I have always been a fan of the ‘home made’ costumes vs. the pre-made, store bought type.
As a kid a dressed up as a witch 6 years in a row…no joke. So I think that ever since I have been trying to make up for my lack of creativity. In the fifth grade, I thought it would be a great idea to dress up like a Jolly Rancher…yes…the candy. With a kid size cardboard box, some matching tights, and two other flavored friends to match we sure looked the part!
But as you get older, it’s harder to pick out costumes. And a cardboard box just won’t cut it.
I’d like to think some of my best work was done in college.
A fairy.
A Skittle?
Batgirl!
A golfer.
Batgirl re-created!
So what have I decided for this year? You’ll have to wait and see. But I can tell you this: I broke tradition and I bought a pre-made, store bought costume. Ugh! I do plan to add my own touches here and there and hopefully save the outfit from pre-made doom! I may also be trying to accessorize my boyfriend as well…but Adam is not one to dress up with the girls…so we’ll see.
